“67 Blankets for Madiba”

As part of the 67 Blankets for Mandela Day initiative, the PE St. Georges Club is asking members to take up their yarn and knit a scarf. These scarves will be collected and placed at bus stops, taxi ranks or tied to trees in the parks, with a label attached “I AM NOT LOST, IF YOU ARE COLD AND NEED ME, PLEASE TAKE ME”.

You should bring your completed scarf, measuring approximately 180cm x 20cm to the Club’s HAPPY HOUR event on Wednesday the 28th of June at 17h00. We will deliver the scarves to the relevant drop off points for distribution.

Happy Hour on the 28th of June will offer all the usual participation in the lucky draw, as well as a light meal for sale.
